Great newspage as always.
Following the demise of EOS, (Swallow), virtually the entire fleet is parked up at North Weald airfield, just beyond the Essex emergency services hangar, and presents a rare and interesting photo opportunity.
All the vehicles have VOR labels on the windscreens, and are clearly awaiting onward sale either for further use, or to a scrap dealer. (I think most of them to the latter) sadly. Maybe some of the better vehicles might be sold through Ensign, or on ebay, but no sign of this yet.
The only vehicle not there is EOS 711, the enviro 200 which may have been sold already.
Regards,
Nigel Grist.
Thanks very much for this information, Nigel and keep enjoying Busmopolitan !
The first two EOS vehicles advertised on Ebay are:
753 HV02 PCY Dart /Caetano and
former ED 22 Dart LX 07 BYN.
They are still in situ at North Weald.
There is a note on the advertisement that suggests more to follow, both runners and vehicles for scrap.
Potential buyers will have quite a selection when they view !
Regards ,
Nigel Grist.
