Welcome to the October 2019 edition of Busmopolitan.
Following the collapse of Wrightbus, intensive talks followed to find a buyer and basically save the business. By mid October, Jo Bamford, from the JCB dynasty, had made a firm offer “in principle”. This was confirmed in mid October. The new company is called Bamford Bus Company and has an ex JCB senior manager as its CEO. Initially, 60 ex Wrights staff were employed.
